ABOUT MAISON MÉNART

Luciana Herrera is the founder and director of Maison Ménart, a gallery and curatorial platform dedicated to the research, exhibition, and promotion of emerging artists in dialogue with art history. Her curatorial work centers on Renaissance art and the transatlantic circulation of visual languages between Europe and Latin America.
She is currently researching the transmission of Italian Mannerism in viceregal Peru, examining processes of visual translation that contributed to the formation of local pictorial traditions. She holds certifications in Modern and Contemporary Art from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and in Ancient Art from Mombó Art Gallery (Spain).
As an intern at the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI), her work focuses on colonial art and the Cuzco School, with particular attention to historical context, iconographic frameworks, and material practices. Through Maison Ménart, she develops a curatorial approach that integrates academic research, art-historical methodology, and digital exhibition practices.
